To pan across the map window:
1) Select the Pan tool from the drop-down menu of Map Tools.
2) With your mouse pointer either click on the map, or hold the mouse down and drag the map. *(Example features: your application may not contain the features depicted in this example.)
3) The map will re-center where you clicked / dragged.
