To select tax parcel features interactively using the map, use the Select Parcels tool in the map tools toolbar in the upper right-hand corner of the application.
1) Choose the Select Parcels tool from the drop-down menu of Map Tools.
2) In the map window, click on a tax parcel. The parcel will appear in red with a cyan border and a Select Results window will open. Also see the Select Results Window help page.
3) To select a different parcel, simply click in the parcel. The previously selected parcel will become unselected and the new parcel will become selected.
4) To select multiple adjacent parcels, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the pointer across the map window. A red box will appear as your drag the pointer. All tax parcels falling within and intersecting this "box" will bet selected.
5) To select multiple parcels that are not adjacent, hold the shift key down and click in each parcel to be selected.
6) To clear the selected feature(s), click the Clear button.
